POST-REPORT on KB4K 2010
The Second Annual Kiteboarding 4 Kids Charity Event was held in Cabarete, Dominican Republic, from the 11th to the 14th o
f February 2010. It turned out to be a superb event with over 85 participants competing in various watersport competitions, while enjoying tasty meals and entertainment in the evenings!
KB4K Another Huge Success
The last day wind was very light and onshore. The women became the test riders for the conditions going out first. They quickly realized that just staying upwind was going to be a challenge. Decision was made to send the juniors out. The junior big air heats turned out to be a thrilling spectacle for the crowd with the riders throwing tricks right in front at times complicated by tangled lines.
Day 2 Evening Festivities
Local favorite restaurant/lounge LAX was the host to the evening festivities. Save the World, a rock band composed of Joe and Karen Ciotti and their 14 year old daughter Samantha got the crowd going with a rousing set of original music.
Day 2 Results
An Amazing day! Even with no wind! The kids and the athletes enjoyed themselves all day body surfing the head high waves washing in on Bozo Beach shore break today. We'll give you all the pictures and news from the day, but for now... Enjoy the results and a couple photos from the day.
