100 % of the Proceeds Will Be Donated to Local Dominican Republic Charities
Kids Alive: receive US$3,000. An international non-profit organization who build and organize schools all over the world. There is a Kids Alive school very close in our own Village, Caraballo, a few minutes drive from Cabarete. Kids Alive has found approximately 500 sponsors for the local Haitian and Dominican children in this area. Prior to being sponsored to go to school, the children were idle and had absolutely no education. Now, the children are learning reading, writing, mathematics, and other major subjects. The sponsored children receive all medical immunizations, one meal a day, uniforms, books, and a future! Each child is sponsored for $35/month. The school has amazing, nurturing teachers who truly care for the children. The building the Kid's Alive Park School has built, is maxed-out on occupancy. Currently, a new wing is being built so Kids Alive can sponsor more children. The school is thriving and the kids are truly happy. Kiteboarding for Kids is proud to help the Kids Alive school.
Dominican Crossroads: receive US$3,000. Headed by Bob and Jana Amelingmeier who have lived in Dominican Republic for over twenty years and have devoted their lives to feeding the homeless impoverished people in the outskirts of Cabarete. Crossroads is involved in a milk ministry. They feed hard boiled eggs, bread, cold cuts, porridge, and milk to the destitute, and they find sponsors to relocate the homeless into small concrete homes. Each home has running water and a toilet. Prior to this project, families of 5 and more were living in tin shacks. Many illnesses ran rampant and resurfaced due to water problems. Many of these people bath in the stream and drink the same water. Luckily, the illnesses have decreased, and Crossroads continues to sponsor families and put them in these homes. Each home costs $3,500!
Dream Project Library: receive US$3,000. Monies will go toward the expansion of this library physically as well as the materials on the bookshelves.
Sosua Kids: receive US$750. This program buys uniforms and backpacks for the underprivileged children who are going to school but cannot afford these items.
Pablito's Kids Program: receive US$750. This program is an after school program teaching kids to swim and windsurf.
Janette Hall: receive US$750. Janette runs a small school. The school needed new book shelves, desks, and school supplies.
